Lambda Chi cares about its community and organizes various efforts to engage and serve society. From participating in Northwestern's Dance Marathon to working with the Greater Chicago Food Depository and Feeding America , we participate in both service and philanthropy.
Service involves working directly with beneficiaries to help build a better future for our collective community. From repacking food at the food depository in Chicago to coordinating food drives to help the hungry, Lambda Chi is proud to have helped raise more than $5000 each year and collect more than 500lb of food to contribute to our beneficiaries.
Philanthropy involves coordinating on campus activities to help raise funds and awareness about our beneficiaries. From unique events such as SpookScreen, a Halloween horror movie screening, to delicious events such as Bacon, our events have brought crowds into the house to not just join the brothers but also discover about the good work done by our partners. Our biggest event, Watermelon Bust, in the Spring every year is our largest outreach and is one of the craziest philanthropies you'll ever participate in.
Philanthropy and Service are huge components of being a member of Lambda Chi Alpha, and we're proud to be able to be an integrated part of society through the activities we do.
